Explore the Galapagos this Christmas with Vaya Adventures

Adventure travel operator Vaya Adventures using the small ship sailing vessel Beagle offers an eight-day, wildlife-intense cruise with a choice of two itineraries through the Galapagos Islands.

There is still good availability on the 23-30  Dec 2014, end-of-year holiday departure.  The Beagle is a first class, refurbished, schooner-style yacht awarded “Smart Voyager” certification for sound environmental practices. It accommodates a maximum of 14 passengers in seven well-appointed cabins.

Beagle’s cruises run from Tuesday to Tuesday and are divided between a Northwest itinerary and a South & Central itinerary. (The Christmas departure will follow the South & Central itinerary, which visits numerous highlight spots including the islands of Bartolome, Espanola, and Floreana, among others.)

As with all sailing and land tours through the Galapagos Islands, bilingual naturalist guides accompany guests on daily land expeditions. Darwin’s name is frequently evoked in this one-of-a-kind destination, where visitors can see flora and fauna that don’t exist anywhere else in the world.

There are also opportunities for the more energetic to do some extended walks in the interior of some of the islands.

Darwin's inspiration for 'The Origin of Species', the Galapagos are home to species found nowhere else on earth and some of the world's most pristine environments. Travellers may find themselves stepping over snoozing sea lions and iguanas or watching close-up the courting rituals of Blue-footed boobies, albatross, or frigatebirds. Exodus comfortable, first class yacht is ideal for low impact tourism, getting where the cruise ships can't go and for viewing the occasional pod of dolphins dancing in our bow wave. Small group sizes, expert guides and excellent cuisine all help to make this a unique and magical experience.
