Vannes, Brittany

The beauty of small ship cruising is that you can get into ports that the huge juggernaut liners can't get near.  This is Vannes a walled city is in south west Brittany. A magical place.
Have a great day now.

Dinan, Brittany

This picture of Dinan in Brittany fascinates me for a couple of reasons. Not just the wonderful integration of modern shops such as the dressmakers, florist and woman's clothing with the the medieval structures above but until 1940 this is what London would have looked like. How awful that's been lost.
Have a great day now wherever you are.

Brittany Parliament Buidling

Today's picture is the Brittany Parliament building in Rennes. A really strange city as you can walk from a medieval labyrinth to this in about thirty seconds! Have a great day now.

Rennes, Medieval Architecture

Welcome to Rennes, Brittany. Shame about the sky being so grey but I'll put some blue in later on when I get around to editing. Aren't these medieval buildings amazing? Well I hope you're all well and looking after yourselves. Got a meeting this p.m. to discuss the programme for a concert we're having in the village on Saturday and then it's The History society AGM. Who needs Monte Carlo!!
