Symmetrical Gannets

These gannets are on the Bass Rock and I just like the way they have posed for me. Take care now.

Maggie on the Bass

This is Maggie Sheddan the guide on the Bass Rock. She has rescued this abandoned gannet chick which was being pecked  by the other adult birds around it. The chick will be taken and fed until it is strong enough to return to the water and fend for itself.
Hope you're all well. I have an invitation to go to Gujerat in India in November on a job so I'm rather excited!
Take care now.

The Bass Rock

Here we are off the Bass Rock the worlds largest gannetry with 150,000 birds and that's not counting the gulls and puffins. When you land it's quite an amazing site to be so close to them, no more than a yard away. I'll put some images on facebook later on . Anyway a day now of cataloguing images and sorting them out for which pitch to which magazine etc.
Have a great day wherever you are.
