Adventure Canada is ending their 25th Anniversary year with an enormous bang. The expedition company, dedicated to connecting people with Canada’s north, has won Nunavut Tourism’s prestigious Outstanding Service Award, honouring an unparalleled degree of customer satisfaction, growth and success.

“Our priority is always to provide exceptional service to both our passengers and the communities we visit,” said Vice President Cedar Swan. “So winning this award from the region’s defining tourism board really makes us proud.”

Adventure Canada, which also won Nunavut Tourism’s Award of Excellence in 2008, provides exceptional expedition cruises and land-based trips throughout Canada’s far north, as well as Greenland, Newfoundland and other off-the-beaten path destinations. The focus of every expedition is connecting cultures and traditions while enjoying the wildlife and and wild landscapes of these inspiring places.

The company successfully maintains its family‐run small business ethic while creatively expanding its roster of destinations. Adventure Canada’s success and growth is exemplified in its unique partnerships, including the Royal Canadian Geographical Society, Canadian Geographic, the Alianait Arts Festival, Nature Conservancy of Canada and The Walrus Foundation, to name a few.
“We want to thank our enthusiastic passengers, exceptional team and partners, Nunavut Tourism and the communities we work with for this honour,” continues Swan. “We look forward to celebrating our next anniversary with you!"

New programs on offer for 2014 include the spring voyages to Newfoundland and Labrador, a spectacular season when guests have a great chance of seeing icebergs, seabirds and whales and two early summer sailings to mysterious Sable Island, a 41-km long sandbar, 160km southeast of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Adventure Canada continues to offer signature voyages through the dripping-with-history Northwest Passage in 2014 among other truly inspiring High Arctic voyages.
