Europe’s largest river cruise operator, CroisiEurope, is
offering a unique 10-night journey along the Mekong between Ho Chi Minh City and
Siem Reap onboard the 48-guest RV Indochine, one of the only ships to
sail along the Cho Gao Canal between Saigon and My Tho. The itinerary is
particularly exciting as CroisiEurope is the only river cruise operator whose
guests can board and stay overnight in Ho Chi Minh City itself allowing them to
truly immerse themselves in this fascinating destination.
The
cruise starts with an overnight in Ho Chi Minh City and visits My Tho, Cai Be,
Sa Dec, Chau Doc, Phnom Penh, Koh Chen, Kampong Tralach, Kampong Chhnang and
Lake Tonle Sap before arriving into Siem Reap where guests will disembark and
check into a hotel for two nights, giving them plenty of time to explore the
ancient sites at Angkor. As the ship travels through diverse landscapes and
vibrant towns, guests will enjoy a range of cultural delights such as a visit to
Banteay Srei, the jewel in the crown of classic Khmer art, and the temple at Ta
Prohm which dates back to 1186 and is dedicated to the mother of Jayavarman
II.
The
cruise takes place on the 48-guest RV Indochine, a colonial-style ship
with wooden interiors, spacious and comfortable outside cabins, a panoramic
restaurant, large living room, bar and sun deck.
