Hebridean
Island Cruises (www.hebridean.co.uk /
01756 704 704), operator of the world’s smallest luxury cruise ship,
Hebridean Princess, will be returning to Norway in 2014 for the first
time in five years.
Hebridean
Island Cruises will offer a total of three different itineraries in August 2014
sailing to some of Norway’s best known fjords including Hardangerfjord,
Sognefjord, Ulvikfjord and Raunefjord. The decision follows a survey conducted
amongst loyal guests asking for suggestions on cruising
areas.
Hebridean
Island Cruises will also extend its popular footloose walking programme to
include Footloose in the Fjords, featuring a variety of walks in
Balestrand, Laerdral, Fjaerland, as well as the unique opportunity to join a
glacier walk in Sogndal.
Chief
Operating Officer, Ken Charleson commented:
“We
wanted our guests to be involved in developing the cruise programme for 2014 and
beyond. We asked for ideas on where to sail outside of Hebridean
Princess’ home waters of Scotland. After receiving an overwhelming number of
responses Norway emerged as the clear favourite.
“We
have carefully crafted a number of itineraries which reflect the true nature of
a Hebridean cruise, offering guests the opportunity to visit distant, off the
beaten track places and the chance to sail through a dramatic landscape, famous
for its mountains, glaciers and fjords.”
